Our client is a small privately owned company based in Cardiff that manufactures digital driving controls for disabled drivers worldwide. They are the global market leader in their field. Due to continued expansion at home and abroad, our client is now looking for an experienced Account Manager.
This is a very busy and challenging multi-tasking role which will require excellent communication skills. Candidates should have a solid background in a telesales or telemarketing role, be highly presentable, and have a high level of self-motivation. However, you will be working within a small but dynamic international team so you must also be a team player.
Initially your time will be spent learning the basics e.g., studying our products; liaising with our UK customers on the phone and providing all aspects of administration within the office including sales order processing; answering telephone enquiries from customers; providing quotes; placing orders and liaising with the technical workshop. You will also be involved in maintaining databases, researching customers, and collating data for sales and marketing reports.
Once competent in the above duties you will take on responsibility for the day-to-day account management of customers within our UK customer base. You will also work on telemarketing campaigns to promote or upsell products to existing customers and to prospects within our niche market. You should be highly competent on the phone and all applicants must know how to properly structure and present a customer call.
Sales incentives may be introduced once the candidate is fully trained and can demonstrate an ability to upsell into accounts. You will also on occasion be required to visit customers and attend trade shows, therefore a degree of flexibility to travel on these occasions is required.
This position would ideally suit applicants from a dynamic telesales background that would like to maintain their skills but work in a less intensely targeted environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Educated to Degree level
• Minimum two years’ experience in a pressurised telemarketing or telesales/sales role
• Proven telephone and communication skills
• Excellent MS Office Skills
• Own transport
• Live in Cardiff area
