Our client, a highly ranked Top 100 and award-winning Law firm based in the centre of Cardiff, is currently looking to recruit an experienced bid writer.
The firm has built a significant public sector practice over the last fifteen years and represents many major public sector organisations including Welsh Government, Natural Resources Wales, numerous local authorities, emergency services and housing associations.
The successful applicant will be instrumental in continuing the growth of the firm’s work in the sector as well as some others that require significant bid writing support.
The successful candidate will be required to support the monitoring of potential bid opportunities and then draft bids and tenders’ responses. This work will involve close collaboration with legal and central services teams from across the firm.
A firm understanding of public procurement is essential. The role requires someone who has a good understanding of the mechanisms public sector organisations use for procuring professional services and experience of writing bids for framework and sole supplier contracts.
They will be comfortable with the processes of raising clarification questions relating to PQQ and ITT stages and familiar with portals used for both tender submissions and ongoing contract management.
The successful candidate will have access to a comprehensive bid library and various other useful resources. They will sit as part of the firm’s business development and marketing team and work very closely with the client relations manager responsible for managing the firm’s overall engagement with the public sector.
