Job Purpose - To maintain a safe, secure, clean and tidy facility.
Main Duties
•To ensure the security of the campus. Opening and locking doors at the start and end of each working day. Checking windows are secure, setting and disabling alarms to include fire alarms on occasion.
•To facilitate the operations of our clients enabling access and securing buildings after staff, students, visitors and contractors use or work is completed.
•To ensure any keys required by staff and contractors are signed in and out.
•To deal with security incidents which could include;
Personal incidents
Damage, theft and vandalism.
Assisting external bodies
•Enabling access to CCTV System.
•To empty all litter bins and keeping the surrounding area free of litter, sweeping paths and roadways on a daily basis.
•To assist in the process of receipt of goods and parcels and distribute business related parcels and deliveries.
•To ensure that gulleys, downpipes and drains are kept free of debris. To unblock affected areas and when require repair defective rainwater goods.
•To maintain internal and external lighting by replacing bulbs diffusers and lighting tubes across the campus.
•To assist with routing fire alarm testing and drills
•To repair minor damage e.g doors, hinges and furniture and fitting new locks etc.
•To undertake any minor redecoration, repair or repainting.
•To move furniture/equipment
