St David Recruitment Services are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a charity whose focus is to improve the accessibility and availability of lifesaving defibrillators in Wales.
They currently have an opportunity for a Charity Fundraiser to join them on a flexible basis. The role is an excellent opportunity for somebody to earn alongside another role, or for somebody who is looking to make this more of a full-time position.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Research, identify and make recommendations on new sources of trust income
• Develop long term relationships with key trust donors
• Develop new project applications, working closely with colleagues
• Ensure that small/medium trusts are applied to regularly (generally annually)
• Complete applications to large Grant Making bodies, working closely with colleagues
• Ensure that Grant Making bodies receive regular updates on the progress of their project
• To support the charity's priority projects through gifts in wills
• Develop a legacy fundraising plan, encompassing legacy promotion to both internal and external audiences
• Work with key suppliers to develop legacy fundraising collateral to support the plan
• Work alongside the charity’s will campaign
• Work with colleagues to integrate legacies into other hospice communications, and to give them the tools and confidence to encourage legacy giving amongst their own audiences
• Work alongside existing legacies administration to ensure efficient distribution of tasks and coordination
• Liaise with solicitors and lay executors to ensure that income from gifts in wills is maximised
• Ensure that legacy supporters, family members and executors receive excellent stewardship
Qualifications and Training
• Good standard of education including GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
• Willingness to undertake training around legacy management
Essential:
• An effective communicator with excellent inter-personal communication skills, and the ability to communicate very well in writing
• Able to maintain records in a methodical and accurate manner
• Outgoing personality, able to promote Welsh Hearts at all levels
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to organise own workload to set and meet deadlines.
• Energetic and self-motivated, to achieve and exceed budgeted targets
• A strong team player
Desirable:
• Experience or knowledge of working in the charity
• Welsh Speaker but not essential
