Our client is looking for a Landscape Architect to join them.

 

Job purpose:

  • To lead service input on matters relating to landscape architecture and landscape design for the Authority including development, design and implementation of landscape schemes.

  • To offer specialist advice to the teams within the City Services area and act as client contact where required.

  • To develop and input to relevant strategies and policies in relation to all aspects of the Council’s green infrastructure, countryside, conservation, landscape and recreational access responsibilities.

  • To contribute to the clients growth and income generation for the service, through grant income and planning contributions.

  • Provide expertise and policy advice for our clients Planning Services Division.

  • To provide advice on landscape architecture in relation to corporate matters.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree standard and also hold an appropriate qualification relating to Landscape Architecture

  • Either be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or demonstrate evidence of working towards Chartership

  • Minimum three years' relevant experience in delivering a landscape design.

 

Knowledge

  • Knowledge and understanding of all relevant Acts, Codes of Practice and Conditions of Contract.

  • Knowledge of issues confronting a local authority in terms of the development and implementation of landscape projects.

Experience

  • Effective experience in project management and a working knowledge of its methodologies

  • Experience of adherence to legislation and health and safety

  • Experience in preparation of specifications and documentation in accordance with EU and other legislation

  • Experience in managing budgets for capital projects including identification and securing funding.
