Health and Social Care Management Coach L5 (Assessor) – Cardiff x 1 - £30,000 per annum – possibly rising to £32,500 following successful probation

Our client is one of the largest providers of apprenticeships in the UK. Due to a recent surge in growth, they are looking for additional NVQ Assessors to join their well-established team.

Role Purpose:
As a Personal Development Manager (Assessor) you will be responsible for ensuring a caseload of Apprenticeship learners achieve their Health and Social Care L2 and L3 qualifications. You will do this through conducting progressive visits with every learner every month and supporting, motivating and encouraging them to achieve within the agreed timeframes. You will have a clear set of KPI’s and will manage your own diary to ensure you achieve these.

Key Responsibilities:
• Actively manage a caseload of learners in line with our client’s visit ratios, operational and funding targets to achieve individual, team and business objectives
• Ensure internal and external quality standards are complied with at all times
• Adhere to assessment principles and practices of A1/TAQA/CAVA and Awarding Organisation requirements
• Take ownership of own CPD to ensure quality excellence
• Contribute ideas and suggestions for quality and continuous improvement
• Share best practice to improve team performance
• Develop effective working relationships with colleagues, learners and employers

Skills & experience required:
• A passion for education, standards and quality
• Excellent time management, planning and organising skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines and targets
• Assertiveness and objection handling skills
• Professional and approachable manner
• Effective communication skills – ability to communicate at all levels
• IT Literate
• Competent in Literacy and Numeracy
• Relevant D32 / D33, A1, TAQA or equivalent qualification
• Ideally you will possess a Health and Social Care Qualification to Level 3
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Health and Social Care
