Our client is looking for x2 Marketing Officers to join their team on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities in common with other staff:
•To assist the Executive and Directorate in the successful realisation of our client’s vision, mission and plans in delivering a new College that meets its expectations and aspirations.

•To be involved in continually reviewing, improving and optimising the effectiveness and efficiency of your departmental processes.

•To represent our client’s with external agencies as required in the performance of duties or as directed by your Line Manager.

•To undertake any other duties consistent with the key responsibilities and duties of the post, as directed by your Line Manager.

1.Roles Particular to this post

•Work with the Marketing & Recruitment Manager to deliver the relevant objectives from the 3-year Marketing and Communications Strategy, in line with our client’s 3 Year Plan.

•Contribute positively and productively to a professional, innovative, responsive and effective in-house marketing and communications team and service for our client and its subsidiaries.

•Support sector leading websites for our client’s and subsidiaries – creating, editing and maintaining accurate, innovative, bilingual online content and presence across all sites and for all markets

•Be lead contact for course information on our client’s website, working with key staff across our client to ensure course information is available and accurate for all courses, engaging (through the use of photo galleries, videos, vlogs etc) and supporting a sector leading online learner journey

•Support our client to ensure a positive accurate presence across key third party websites - developing, uploading and monitoring content on these.

•Create, maintain, develop and grow various customer data sets, in line with data protection guidelines, for direct mail / online marketing campaigns.

•Using email design software incl. mailchimp and our client’s bespoke mailing system to create and implement direct emails for a number of customer groups/ markets including, new applicants, offer holders, existing students, alumni and marketing mailing list members – all supporting our client and its brands to achieve business goals.

•Work with the Marketing & Recruitment Manager to ensure marketing campaigns are data led – monitoring and reporting data and analysing trends to support decision making / ensure effective return on investment of marketing spend

•Support the development and delivery of multiple marketing plans and campaigns to meet set marketing, recruitment and business goals - investigating opportunities that are fit for purpose, negotiating with suppliers to ensure best value for money, media-buying, and developing and implementing activity – often working to tight deadlines.

•Support the development and delivery of a diverse range of marketing collateral to meet marketing, recruitment and business goals – copywriting, designing in-house or working with design and print/ production companies to develop and deliver marketing collateral including display stands, promotional materials, brochures and merchandise – often working to tight deadlines`

•Implement and schedule social media activity and brands of our client across multiple accounts and platforms – scheduling bilingual content planned and created by you and colleagues in the marketing and communications teams across multiple platforms including facebook, twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and youtube.

•Daily monitoring of our client’s hootsuite account (dashboard of all social media accounts and activity), flagging and or undertaking proactive and reactive communications with colleagues across social media channels and its brands.
•Support the generation of content for social media and online/ offline activity (including, case studies, stories, videos, images – either yourself or in partnership with an external agency/ supplier)

•Support the Marketing and Recruitment Manager in working with staff across the our client’s to develop a marketing ethos across our client’s, adding value through the customer journey from enquiry, to ‘keeping warm’, overall customer experience, cross-selling and customer retention and progression

•Work with the Student Recruitment team, supporting an effective programme of schools liaison and community engagement, both online and off-line that supports the achievement of the marketing and communications objectives

•Ensure our client’s marketing and communications is compliant with the Welsh Language Scheme.

•Represent our client’s at external networks and meetings, collaborating on marketing and recruitment activity with partner organisations as required

•Engage with marketing trends and the latest content on social media to keep at the forefront of all things digital undertaking market research/ staff development/ attending events where appropriate to support this.

•Support the Marketing and Communications Department in day-to-day activities and events as needed.

Person Specification:
Qualifications:
•Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject (Essential)
•Evidence of continuous professional development
•CIM/ further professional qualification or membership relevant to the role (Desirable)

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
•Experience and successful track record of working within marketing, including copy writing and producing marketing materials; planning and implementing marketing campaigns involving a range of media and current technologies; managing website content; social media; editing and proof reading; working with marketing/ design agencies;
•A strong understanding of the principles of Marketing
•The ability to demonstrate creative thinking and contribute ideas to all areas of marketing
•Good written communication skills – able to copy write and proofread accurate, grammatical and effective marketing content for a range of purposes including marketing materials/ web content/ social media
•Experience of and successful track record in creating website content using various website CMS systems (Essential), with experience of CMS system Sitecore (Desirable)
•Knowledge, understanding of and experience in creating digital marketing campaigns including:
osetting up and managing facebook advertising campaigns, PPC and sponsored ads.
ousing CRM systems and understanding their importance in executing direct marketing campaigns
oevaluating effectiveness of online content using systems such as google analytics
•Experience and successful track record of using social media accounts for business purposes
•Knowledge and experience of design tools for marketing such as Photoshop and mailchimp and the ability to demonstrate skills in using these
•Ability to effectively manage and prioritise projects simultaneously to achieve goals
•Ability to effectively manage and prioritise own workload to achieve goals, working flexibly to tight and changing timescales; and working with crisis situations
•Networking, interpersonal and collaboration skills for effective partnership working including project managing colleagues and external agencies to achieve required goals;
•Ability to contribute to a positive and supportive team approach throughout work
•Excellent general IT skills, including Microsoft Office/ social media/ online applications
•The ability to work flexibly with occasional evening/ weekend work
•A valid driving license and the ability to travel frequently as required to different college sites/ events/ meetings
