Full-time, Permanent role

Cardiff Central

Our client is a FinTech startup, developing new products that connect merchants and consumers in the physical world.  Their first product is a mobile web application for the hospitality industry, enabling consumers to order and pay for food and drinks at any of their partner venues.

They believe the hospitality world will change post-lockdown.  Forever.  They anticipate a huge demand for their products and services, because they eliminate the need for queues, menus and cash, as well as reducing contact between customers and staff and reducing the movement of customers within venues.

Our client is now investing in several new roles to grow their business and help the, achieve their goal of becoming the number one mobile ordering platform within the hospitality industry.

As a startup, our client value everyone equally. As part of their team, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where you’ll help shape not only their products and services but the future direction and success of their company.

What they’re looking for:

This role is a vital one in helping build our client’s company towards becoming the number one mobile ordering platform within the UK and Europe.  As a business, they’re scaling fast and are looking for someone with the intelligence, attitude and enthusiasm to help their leaders and teams across all areas - sales, marketing, operations, new products, technology.

This is a new role within our client’s organisation, and so they can’t tell you exactly what you’ll be doing but, rest-assured you’ll be busy.  All our client’s teams need support, and some examples of what you’d be doing would be helping the:

-       sales team with their enquiries

-       marketing team at a launch event

-       operations team with payments and invoices

-       technology team with testing a new product

-       CEO to send out the latest pack for our Board meetings

Essential qualities

You’ll have an excellent academic record with some experience of working in a fast-paced office environment.  Our client doesn’t mind if that experience came during or after your studies, or if you’ve taken some time out from work to focus on other things - what they need to see is your motivation and commitment.

You will be ambitious and see this opportunity for what it is - a chance to get onboard at an early stage startup where you’ll be able to learn across our client’s entire business and grow and develop with them.  You’ll be willing to turn your hand to anything - helping out where needed and putting maximum thought and effort into everything you do.

What you’ll get:

In addition to the base salary, equity and opportunity to work in a fast-growth startup with new technologies and a high performing team, our client offers the following benefits:

●      Performance related bonus scheme

●      25 days holiday

●      Pension

●      High quality mentoring from our client’s leadership team and advisory board

●      A high-quality office environment with the things you’d expect working at a FinTech start-up (free hot and cold drinks, beer fridge, PS4, table tennis, dartboard, regular socials etc.)
