Our client is looking for an Optical Assistant to join their team. This varied and interesting role has a blend of retail and customer service duties with a health care twist.
Previous optical experience is not essential as they can provide all the training and support needed.
The role of an Optical Assistant offers more responsibility and involvement than your normal retail position. You will have a part to play in supporting our client’s clinical team, as well as working with colleagues to provide the high-quality customer service and personalised care that our client’s customers have enjoyed for decades.
Each day offers the opportunity to learn something new, interact with different customers requiring different support and work closely with colleagues to build a successful and enjoyable environment.
Previous retail experience is beneficial, but as long as you are someone with a passion for creating a unique customer experience and providing world class customer care, this could be the role for you.
Job Description / Duties:
·General reception duties
·Supporting clinical staff
·Helping customers choose glasses
·General housekeeping duties
·Dealing with customer requests for orders and collections
Experience / Skills Required:
·Excellent telephone manner
·Customer service skills
·Willingness to work as part of small team helping with wide range of duties
·Eager to learn new skills and develop understanding of optics
·Retail and/or customer service experience required. (Hotels/high end retail jewellery/fashion, GP/Dentist receptionist etc.)
