Quality Control Analyst - Microbiology

Port Talbot

Full time hours, 8am – 4pm

Permanent role

Salary up to £24k DOE

Our client is looking for an experienced QCA to join their team who will be responsible for the timely QC testing of blends, capsules, tablets and liquids according to the Standard Operating Procedures deployed within the Quality System and will report directly to the QC Micro Manager

 

Duties & Responsibilities

·        Perform microbiological testing on raw materials and finished goods

·        Perform molecular identification of raw materials

·        Log results on QC system

·        Ensure QC records are completed accurately and updated as needed

·        Calibrate equipment

·        Maintain cleanliness of the working environment

·        Liaise with the QC department regarding the results obtained

·        Conduct environmental monitoring of the labs

·        Participate in external proficiency schemes

·        Contribute to method development

·        Update QC controlled documents, such as SOPs

·        Perform all duties in accordance with good manufacturing and safe working practices

 

Essential Skills

·        Good computer skills, mainly MS Office

·        Must be capable of working precisely, independently and under pressure

·        Demonstrate good organisational skills

·        Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

·        Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing tasks and have ability to get things done

·        Demonstrate good judgement in performing duties

 

Education & Work Background

·        Bachelors Degree in related science field or equivalent by experience

·        Preferably microbiology laboratory experience in a QC environment
