St David Recruitment Services are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer within the nutritional supplement industry.

The successful post holder will be a member of the Quality Team, overseeing day to day activities within the QC department, delivering team performance, maintaining Quality compliance, and ensuring adherence to GMP and Health & Safety standards.
You will ideally be qualified to degree (or equivalent) level in an appropriate scientific subject or possess relevant Quality experience in a Manufacturing Environment.

Main Accountabilities:
•Supervise the QC Team managing the day-to-day activities of the QC Technicians.
•Carry out one-to-ones and performance reviews with the QC Team.
•Reporting to the Quality Manager regarding the day-to-day management of QC activities, ensuring materials are released and department KPIs are achieved/ succeeded.
•Cover the routine aspects of QC activities in the absence of a team member.
•Assist with internal audits, Identifying Non-conformances and propose opportunities for improvements.
•Generate supplier non-conformances in a timely manner. Facilitate closure by ensuring specific issues are fully investigated and appropriate details are provided to supply chain/ purchasing teams.
•Oversee the quarantine and reject area. Coordinate the final disposition of expired materials. Providing regular status updates and raising reject notes as required.
•Propose and implement improvements to working practices and take a lead in departmental projects and cost saving initiatives.
•Manage all Change Control activities relating to Product Quality.
•Help to maintain the Skip Lot/ Annual testing program as new raw materials are approved and changes to the quality of raw materials are noted.
•Assist the Quality Manager in investigations and closure of department’s Non-Conformances and maintain the department’s Standard Operating Procedures.
•Ensure health and safety and quality standards are being adhered to at all times within the department.
•Represent the QC Department in Quality Control Meetings as appropriate, providing status updates on behalf of team and providing feedback to team on required actions.
•Train new team members.
•Maintain, Process and close customer complaints, providing root cause and actions to the relevant customer.
