The role:

Working in a team of time-served Planned Maintenance colleagues, you’ll be responsible for surveying our client’s properties on both pre and post inspections and managing your own workload across Rhondda Cynon Taff. In this multi-discipline team, you’ll deliver a first-class surveying service and act as a key contact between customers and Contract Managers. It is therefore crucial that you can interact effectively with customers, whose homes you will be entering on a regular basis.

You will be responsible for undertaking stock condition surveys, asbestos re-inspections, preparing technical reports and accurate work specifications. Our ideal candidate will have ample experience in producing technical stock condition surveys, SAP rating reports and property surveys. You will also be a strong communicator and influencer, with good IT skills and the confidence to problem solve and make decisions.

Due to the specific technical nature of this role, you will either have achieved, or be working towards, a relevant surveying or construction related qualification.

  • You’ll need:

  • Knowledge of HHSRS / WHQS / CDM 2015 / Asbestos Management / Building Regulations

  • Demonstrable experience within the construction sector and all aspects of surveying

  • Confidence and proven track record for producing technical reports on property condition and progress of contracts

You’ll have:

  • A genuine customer-focused approach to your work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, easily adapted to your customers’ needs

  • Full driving licence with access to a vehicle

  • IT and numerically literate, ranging from bespoke industry software to MS Office

  • Good networking skills and be able to liaise with internal and external customers, partners and organisation
