Transport Manager & Customer Service Coordinator
Bridgend (Office Based)
Salary - £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours - 07:00 – 16:30 (Mon-Thurs) / 7.30 – 16.00 (Friday) with 60 min break
Permanent Role

Our client is looking for a Transport & Customer Service Coordinator to join their team in Bridgend on a permanent basis.

Essential Skills
• Previous transport experience
• Min 3 years customer service experience.
• Excellent communication skills and highly competent in Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Flexible and able to multi-task with strong organisational skills.
• Be a proactive, self-starter with high energy.

Job Responsibilities
• Manage project order delivery schedule and liaise with sub-contractors, ensure all projects are kept within lead times (Maintain 4-6 weeks on Project orders).
• Follow up transport companies for goods in delivery dates. Update Central Project Smartsheet & Delivery Schedule Smartsheet – ensure proactive communication with customer regarding delivery date.
• Load project orders on to Sage & ‘Central Projects Smartsheet’
• Send project order visuals to customer – liaise with design team & customer to sign off.
• Ensure all project delivery notes and booking in form are correct before despatch.
• Get 3 quotes, analyse all projects and group deliveries to maximise costs & transport.
• Attend and provide updates at daily Project catch-up meeting.
• Research options/costs and book all import / export shipments – requires a full understanding of the import & export (customs) documentation required.
• Load Sales orders for stock items and manage orders@ inbox.
• Proactively Explore Transport Options to improve service and reduce costs.
• Answer inbound calls.
• Log and report NCR’s and resolve.
