Our client is looking for an Evidential Case File Build Officer to join them on a temporary 6-month basis.

 

Job description:

To create Niche casefiles to National File Quality standards, Attorney Generals and Director of Public Prosecutions Guidance and submit to the Crown Prosecution Service, ensuring that all required elements of the casefile are accurately documented and linked to the casefile prior to submission.

 

Job duties:

·         To prepare both pre and post charge evidential casefiles to the Crown Prosecution Service in compliance with national guidance and legislation.

·         To submit completed pre and post charge evidential casefiles in line with agreed timescales

·         Carry out analysis, assess evidence, and review material generated by the investigation of both serious and complex crimes.to do what?

·         To prioritize and carry out pre and post court actions as directed by CPS, ensuring that court and bail deadlines are met.

·         To record, manage, process and retrieve information from computerised and manual systems so that the force has readily available accurate data for purposes of disclosure and correspondence related to achieving Justice outcomes

·         Respond and deal with enquiries on the telephone, over video conferencing and face to face meetings with individuals from both internal and external sources.

·         To provide support and advice to officers and Police Staff on policy, procedures and evidential standards

·         To act as the Disclosure Officer for all case files submitted. Examining all material, present it to the CPS, and certifying to the prosecutor that action has been taken in accordance with the Codes of Practice
