Purchasing Assistant

Our client is looking for a experience Purchasing Assistant to join their busy Purchasing Department.
Essential Experience and Skills
•Previous experience as a Purchasing Assistant
•Strong Administration experience
•Excellent attention to detail
•Analytical thinking
•Excellent organisation and time keeping
•Knowledge of MS Excel
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
•Manage and enter data in MRP system and analyse order requirements
•Use Freq ordering system to make and approve orders and send Purchase Orders
•Respond to ad hoc queries from wider team
•Attend inter-departmental meetings
•Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
•Track orders and ensure timely delivery
•Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
•Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
•Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
•Any other duties in line with purchasing requirements
