Our client is looking to recruit a Talent Management Lead into their business on a long-term temporary basis.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

·         To support the Head of People Service in the design and delivery of the clients Leadership, Diversity and talent management, developing and driving their succession planning, growth and application of the high potential pool.

·         Create the environment that fosters home grown future leaders, that are completely aligned to their values and vision, able to develop the leadership capability through the different grades, underlying the importance of Leadership, wellbeing and inclusion in all programs delivered and assessed.

·         Oversee the development, implementation and embedding of succession planning practices, talent management and development programmes across the business to enable it to fully utilise the potential of its people and meet future and changing needs.

·         The Talent Development Specialist will also be responsible for design, development and administration of their People Performance & Development Assessment system. Creating new and innovative ways of managing development and performance within the business, including appropriate profiling tools and techniques.

·         This role will work closely with the Leadership Design and Delivery Specialist to create the syllabus requirements that will achieve the above.

 

Essential skills

 

·         Must have a level 6 qualification in Human Resource Management, Learning & Development, Talent, Organisational Development, Leadership or another relevant subject or equivalent experience within the area of expertise.

·         NVQ Level 5 Coaching/Mentoring qualification, or relevant experience.

·         Must be able to evidence continued professional development of self and within a team.

·         Must be able to demonstrate experience of developing and delivering talent management initiatives.

·         Demonstrate experience of managing projects and delivering successful outcomes.

·         Must have experience successfully managing change in an organisation.

·         Experience of coaching and mentoring.

·         Must be able to communicate at all levels clearly and concisely with enthusiasm and energy.

·         Must have knowledge of wider sector talent and leadership development strategies.

·         Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of talent management, competency frameworks and occupational standards.

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured reports.

·         Level 1 Welsh essential (training will be given). Welsh language skills Level 2 and above are desirable.

·         Ability to engage, motivate and communicate at all levels of the business.

·         Resilient to drive forward transformation.
